Cheese Cakes
 
Ingredients
for 4 persons:
- 1 kg of flour
- 1 kg Maribor cottage cheese; 1 kg
- 250 g Butter; 250 g
- 2-3 spoons of salt
- 1 packet of yeast
- 2-3 tablespoons Sour cream; 180 g
- 2 eggs
- 200 g Edamec; approx. 3 kg, grated
 
Dissolve the yeast in a bit of warm milk with added tablespoon of sugar. Knead the dough from the dough ingredients, then roll it out to 1 cm thickness. Cut round cakes with round cake model or a glass, coat them with whipped egg and cover them with grated cheese. Put the cakes into a hot baking tin (no grease required) and bake at 200 degrees Celsius until they become golden yellow.
