Mu extra yogurts, innovation of 2015

The Nutrition Institute presented the most innovative new food products made in Slovenia. Mu Extra yogurts featured among them.

 

The selected food products stood out from the others in the same group in competitiveness, creativity and nutritional composition, and showed that Slovenian food producers strive to provide consumers with improved, high-quality, healthy food products. Besides Mu Extra yogurts, the other selected food products were as follows: 

  • Pivovarna Union for the drink Nula malina,
  • Mercator and Pekarna Grosuplje for whole grain spelt bread, 
  • Žito for corn toast, 
  • Engrotuš and Fine Culinar for curd dumplings made from tartar buckwheat, and 
  • Valens Int. for the dietary supplement vitamin D as an oral spray.

The selection was made in a public competition for the most innovative new food products made in Slovenia, which were nominated by consumers as well as producers. The best food products in each category were selected from 52 nominations. The most important factor considered in the evaluation was nutrition composition, as this project was intended to encourage food products which are particularly healthy. Other aspects of innovation were also considered, among which were friendliness to the customer and specialties in production and packaging. 

 

Mu Extra yogurts were nominated by consumers and not Ljubljanske mlekarne, which means even more to us, and at the same time, it is an encouragement and confirmation that we are making excellent, innovative food products.
