Presentation of the company
The company Ljubljanske mlekarne d.d., the leading dairy in Slovenia, which has been for more than fifty years supplying fresh milk and various dairy products to Slovene and also foreign customers. With our products we are maintaining the majority market share in the Slovene market and are thus with almost 700 employees the leading dairy, and also the largest wholesaler of milk and dairy products in Slovenia. In the factory on Tolstojeva ulica in Ljubljana, factory in Maribor and the factory in Kočevje we process around 50 percent of all collected milk in Slovenia.
Our comprehensive sales programme can be divided into three basic groups:
- white programme (yogurts, fresh milk, cottage cheese and cheese spreads, long life milk, cream and beverages)
- cheeses (semi-hard, hard and processed cheese, mozzarella)
- ice cream (small, family and food industrial size)
Beside the dairy programme we produce and sell also a non-dairy programme (ice tea). Our sales programme also includes different additional bought products.
Our most important brands are: Alpsko mleko, Ego, Maxim Premium, Lučka, Planica, Otočec, Piran, Jošt, Laščan and Kranjska gauda.

Brand Maxim premium under the slogan Your unique pleasure celebrates its 15th anniversary. |
| 2009 |
Installing and start-up of a new line for manufacturing and bottling of plastic bottles. Planica family ice-cream celebrates its 35th birthday. |
| 2008 |
The launch of a modernized green line of products with a new image and under a new name MU. Ice-cream on a stick, known as Lučka and one of the key brands of the Ljubljanske mlekarne dairy celebrates its 50th birthday. Shikoko bottling line, which allows bottling of products with an extended expiry date, is installed and started in Obrat Ljubljana. |

Realization of the prepared programme for the modernization of the company. The Alpine milk celebrates its 40th anniversary of existence, which the company marks with a wide variety of media activity. |
| 2006 |
At the beginning of the year the production of semi-hard cheeses is moved from Sirarne Maribor to Obrat Kočevje. Construction and start-up of an automated high-shelf warehouse in Obrat Ljubljana. Ljubljanske mlekarne Company successfully enters the Italian market, where they acquire regular buyers of their products. |

End of the extensive investment cycle into the technological-technical modernization of preparation and bottling of fresh milk and fermented products. |
| 2004 |
Ljubljanske mlekarne mark this year with heavy investment activities, start-up of modernized production in the PPM Tuzla affiliated company and start up of an affiliated company in Croatia. In addition, new brand architecture forice-creams is set up, introduction of the How Are You? white line, new programme management is also introduced for the white programme, cheeses and frozen programme. |

Ljubljanske mlekarne acquire the ISO 14001 certificate. The same year they buy a majority share of dairies in Tuzla and, thus, begin the story of Ljubljanske mlekarne Group. Ljubljanske mlekarne build new brand architecture (the green line) and according with their values they select a new corporate slogan Tradition. Care. Reliability. |

A new plant for production of long life milk and a modernised ice cream factory are opened. From the former drinking milk dairy, which took care especially for supply of milk to Ljubljana, an industrial dairy is developed, with numerous dairy products for the wider Yugoslav market. |

Ljubljanske mlekarne start producing yogurt, cream, cottage cheese and cheese. |

Ljubljanske mlekarne is the first in the country to start producing ice cream – Lučka. |

Establishment of Ljubljanske mlekarne as a company of main Zadružna zveza Slovenije, in which 235 workers processed 60 thousand litres of milk per day. |
